The city of Woodland coordinates a vast variety of community services and you are encouraged to call or stop by with your inquiries. Youth and teens benefit from exciting programs scheduled through Parks and Recreation, with the newest addition, the Woodland Skate Park located at Crawford Park. Coordinated trips to Six Flags Marine World chase away the summer doldrums. Athletic programs in karate, boxing, aquatics, basketball, aerobics, soccer, baseball and just about every other popular sport are also offered. Senior classes and services, ranging from line dancing to computer lessons, are available through the Woodland Senior Multipurpose Center. Local access cable Channel 21, the WAVE, covers special events, recreational programs and other local issues. The Summer Festival Series showcases a full lineup of music, dance and fun Thursday evenings; call 661-5880 for an updated schedule.
