January 7 The Holy Rosary church will again hold its "All You Can Eat" crab and shrimp feed at the Holy Rosary Community Center, 375 california st, Woodland. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. All net proceeds will go to support the community services provided by the Holy Rosary Parish. Cost for this meal is $35 per person. Call the Pastoral Center, 662-2805, for tickets or further information.

Woodland Kiwanis 20th Annual Crab Feed. Held at the Yolo County Fairgrounds, Hallmark's  Building at 6 pm Tickets are $45.00 and are available by calling Andy Thompson at 662-9144 or at the door.
January 15  The Holy Rosary Catholic Church will be holding a Blood Drive in Tumulty Hall , 301 Walnut St at 8 a.m. Must weigh at least 110 Pounds, be at least 17 years old (16 with a signed Bloodsource parental consent form).

January 29 The Yolo County Cabrillo Civic Club #26 will host its first Linguica Breakfast for 2012 at Holy Rosary Parish Tumulty Hall on 301 Walnut St, Woodland. July 1-3 Antique Farm Equipment Show, July 1-3, at Clark Pacific's Woodland Facility. there will be a large antique and classic farm equipment show at Clark Pacific’s Woodland facility.  Golden State Farm Education Center is hosting the show located on a field just north of the old Spreckels Sugar plant.  See the attached brochure, the website http://www.thebestshow.org/, and Facebook http://www.facebook.com/BestShow2011 for more details.  Saturday, the 2nd, is the main event but there will be plenty to see on the other days as well.
July 4 Woodland’s annual fireworks show at the Community Stadium at Woodland High School. The celebration will begin at 6:00pm with tons of food and pre-show activities for the whole family. The first fireworks will launch at 9:30pm and the entire show will be choreographed to music and simulcast throughout the City of Woodland on WAVE Broadband cable television.

Aug 16 Cambridge Junior College announced that they will be offering a new degree program beginning August 29th. The degree is an Associates of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. To learn more visit the Woodland Campus at 501 Main Street during our Open House events going on every Tuesday night between 5-7 p.m. until August 23rd, free food and soft drinks will be offered along with a guided tour of the campus -plus- a presentation on the new degree program with examples of their highly successful education methods. To learn more visit the Woodland Campus at 501 Main Street during our Open House events going on every Tuesday night between 5-7 p.m. until August 23rd, free food and soft drinks will be offered along with a guided tour of the campus -plus- a presentation on the new degree program with examples of their highly successful education methods.
