Great Backyard Bird Count

February 18, 2017 @ 7:45 am - 2:00 pm

Join the  Cache Creek Conservancy in the “Great Backyard Bird Count” on Saturday, February 18, 2017, part of a national bird count effort by Cornell University.  Check in begins at 7:45 a.m.  and the event begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.  Fred Vanderwold and Don Hallberg, expert birders in the area will lead the count.  As part of the bird count, you will document how many of each species of birds you see and then add our findings to eBird, to record the birds of our area to the nationwide count.  Last year, we saw almost 50 species, including two Great-Horned Owls and a Common Goldeneye.  There is no charge for this event.  Tickets are available online at Eventbrite.
